Debug Nodes

Debugging can be limited to specific nodes or services (with Communication as the agent). In addition, you can add the names of packages and specific classes, each with their own log levels, to get exactly the logging details needed to diagnose a problem. The details associated with the use of packages will typically be supplied by support services, based on the nature of the problem.

When live debugging is disabled, the nodes return to normal logging.

The Debug option in the Actions column of the Management Console allows you to perform analysis and troubleshooting for nodes in an environment.

The options include:

  • Log Download -- Allows you to retrieve and download generated log files from nodes.
  • Debugging Settings -- Allows you to temporarily override logging settings, such as log file size and quantity, and log levels for selected services on selected nodes.
  • HAR Logging -- Allows generation of HTTP Archive (HAR) files to analyze network requests flowing through data proxies on selected nodes.
  • Watchdog Settings - Allows you to set restart thresholds (in minutes) for the assigned nodes, based on memory and CPU utilization.

    All the above options are applicable for Secure Private Access.
