Create an administrative account

The Lookout Jamf Pro Connector accesses the Jamf Pro server using an administrator account with full administrator privileges.

  1. Log on to the Jamf Pro administration console with your administrator credentials.
  2. Select Settings (gear).
  3. Select System Settings > Jamf Pro User Accounts & Groups.
  4. Click + New
  5. Select Create Standard Account and click Next.
  6. Provide the following values:
    Username A unique username. For example, LookoutAdmin.
    Access Level Full Access for Admins
    Privilege Set Administrator
    Access Status Enabled
    Full Name Text string to indicate this is for Lookout connectivity.
    Email Address Email address to notify when Lookout detects threats or issues with mobile devices.
    Password A temporary password that the Lookout admin must change on the first login..
  7. Select the checkbox Force user to change password at next login.
  8. Select Privileges and verify the appropriate permissions are selected.
  9. Click Save.
  10. Have the Lookout administrator access the new jamf administrator account and change the password.
    The administrator must save the Jamf Pro URL, administrator account name and password for use in creating the connector.
