Creating a Label or Custom Attribute for Device State Sync

You can create a label or custom attribute for device state sync.

  • Use a label if you are already using labels in your deployment.
  • Use a custom attribute if you will be using custom attributes for device state synchronization. Custom attributes are more flexible in that you can create a threat state attribute for a threat risk

level that can handle multiple risk levels of low, medium, and high. Additionally, the filter labels in Ivanti EPMM console can reference the custom attributes. This means that the administrator can use the device state as a condition in a filter label.

    In the Ivanti EPMM Connector:

To use Labels for state sync, set the Override Labels with Custom Attributes for State Sync

    switch to OFF.

To use Custom Attributes for state sync, set the Override Labels with Custom Attributes for State Sync switch to ON.
