Enable Device Search to include Device Serial Numbers

Tenants using MDMs with App Config to deploy Lookout for Work can extend MES device search results to include device serial numbers in the Device Details screen as Customer Device ID. You can also search for a specific device using parameters already supported (Lookout Device ID and MDM Device ID).

To configure your MDM to push out app configurations supporting device serial numbers, use this general procedure (this example uses WorkspaceONE):

  1. In the WorkspaceONE console, update the App Configuration for the Lookout for Work App to include Device Serial Number as shown here:

  2. Deploy Lookout for Work.
    Be sure to save and publish your changes.
