The Apps Module (Advanced Feature)
The Apps module is available to Customers with advanced features (see Appendix C for details). The Apps Explorer shows all apps present across your enrolled devices as analyzed by Lookout Mobile Endpoint Security. The list is sorted in descending order of the percent of devices with an app installed.
- App Name: The app name and app package.
- Denylisting: Noting if the app or app version is denylisted.
- Version: The version(s) present. You can click the row to expand if multiple versions are present.
- OS: Android or iOS.
- Devices: The percentage of total enrolled devices running the app. If you expand an app to view versions, this column lists the prevalence for each specific version across your fleet.
- First Detected: The date and time the app was first detected on any of your enrolled devices.
-
Risk Exposure: Expand (click the app) to show the risk exposure (low, medium, high, or critical) for app versions.
Lookout grades Applications based on the capabilities of the app in relation to data handling, combined with the permissions requested by the app. Apps are graded from A-F using the US grading system. An application with a grade of A, poses little or no potential risk, while an application graded F, may have access to more system information and data points, meaning it has a higher level of potential risk.
