Node Metrics
For Gateway Server type nodes with hosted environments (Cloud environment type), the Overview
tab with node metrics does not appear.
For Connector and On-Premise Gateway Server node types, the Overview tab displays information about node metrics, which can provide valuable information about how a node is using resources. This information can help to identify possible performance issues or anomalies.
The top of the page shows current summary metrics for CPU, memory, and disk utilization, as well as the current thread count and the number of services used with the node, along with how many of those services are currently running. For example, 3/3 indicates three services, all of which are currently running.
The Overview tab also shows line graphs that provide details for each resource category. Each line represents the metrics for a service. The horizontal axis indicates the time; the vertical axis indicates percentage of the resource utilized. The Total line represents total usage on the host machine; it is not limited to only Lookout processes.
You can select a time range for the data to view - for the last hour, last 4 hours, or last 24 hours.
At the upper right, average, minimum and maximum percentages are displayed for the Total line for the specified period.
You can use the Showing Range prompt to show metrics for the last hour (default selection), last four hours, or last 24 hours. In addition, you can filter out the Total or particular service metrics by clicking any of the names in the legend (for example, Email). The service name will be dimmed and the line graph hidden. To resume the view, click the service name again.
You can view a specific numeric value with its exact time by hovering over a point in any line graph. You can also zoom in on a time range with the left mouse button. Click the Reset zoom button to return to the complete time range.
