Import Keys and Applications

You can import keys and applications from another Management Server using an exported and saved XML file. Once the import is successful, the imported keys and applications are stored on the

Management Server. You must then associate any applications with an environment before they can be enabled and run.

  1. Select Administration > System Settings.
  2. From the menu, select Export / Import.
  3. Click the Import tab.
  4. Click Import Metadata.
  5. Select an XML file to import.
  6. Select a key or an application to which the import will apply.
  7. Click Import.

    If you cannot complete the import process, the cause might be any of these situations:

    • You are trying to import an XML file that has keys and applications with names already present in the Management Server.
    • A key might not be available.
    • The XML file might have been modified before the import.
    • The application’s specified connector version is not available (a warning), or no version of the application’s connector is available (blocks import).
    • The supplied password does not match that used during export.

      If you receive a warning message, you will be asked if you want to continue the import. Once the import is complete, you must configure the environment for imported applications.
