Importing and Exporting Keys and Applications
You can import and export applications and keys between one Management Server and another, using an XML file that stores the values of the applications and keys. You can use the exported XML file to import the keys and applications to another Management Server, or you can save the exported file to use as a historical snapshot before you make any changes to your Management Server configurations.
From the Management Console, you can select the keys and applications to export from the list of available items.
For keys, the list includes the following information.
Name | Description | Key Server | Associated with |
---|---|---|---|
The name of the key. | The current status of the key (for example, active or inactive), and the key expiration date. | The name of the key server specified for the key. |
The names of the connectors and applications with which the key is currently associated. Each name is a combination of the connector name and the application name (for example, ConnectorName/AppName). |
For applications, the list includes the following information:
Name | Description | Connector type | Associated with |
---|---|---|---|
The name of the application. | The current status of the assigned key (for example, active or inactive), and the key expiration date. | The name of the connector to which the application is assigned. | The name of the keys with which the application is associated. |
