Create Policies for Email Gateway

  1. Select Protect > Cloud Access Control.
  2. In the Managed Apps tab, click New.
  3. Enter a Name (required) and a Description (optional) for the policy.
  4. Select a Content Inspection Type.
  5. (Optional) Select a Time Window.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Select the Office 365 Exchange cloud application to which the policy should apply.

    Activities - Email is the default activity.

  8. Select Content Scanning, Context Rules, and (optional) Content Exceptions.

    1. Select a Data Type.

    2. Select a Context Type.
      Then, select the Scope and Target.

    3. (Optional) Select Context Exceptions.
  9. Click the Action tab.

    1. Select a Session Action, either Allow & Log or Deny.

    2. Select the default Content Action of Content Digital Rights.
      Then, select a template.

    3. (Optional) Select a Secondary Action. Then, select a template.

  10. Click Next to display a summary of the policy information.
    Review the information. Click Previous to make any corrections or click Confirm to save the policy.
