Create Policies for ActiveSync

  1. Select Protect > Cloud Access Control.
  2. In the Managed Apps tab, click New.
  3. Enter Name.
  4. (Optional) Enter a Description.

  5. Select a Content Inspection Type.
  6. (Optional) Select a Time Window.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Select the Office 365 ActiveSync cloud application to which the policy should apply.
  9. Under Context Rules, select Activities, Context Rules, and Context Exceptions.

    1. Select an activity or all activities.

    2. Select a Context Type and enter or select context details.

      • If the Content Inspection Type for this policy is DLP Scan, select a Rule Template.
      • To specify additional context types, click the + icon at the right.
    3. (Optional) Select Context Exceptions.
  10. Click the Action tab.
  11. Select a Session Action, either Allow & Log (default) or Deny.
  12. Select a Secondary Action.
    The default secondary action is Notification.
    • Select a notification type.
    • To include additional secondary actions, click the + icon at the right.
  13. Click Next to display a summary of the policy information.

  14. Review the information.
    Click Previous to make any corrections or click Confirm to save the policy.
