Configuring Ping Identity OAuth Application

Create Oauth Application Integration in Ping Identity

  1. Sign in to the Ping Identity portal.
  2. Go to Applications and click the + icon.
  3. Click the + icon and enter these details:
    • Application name: A unique identifier for the application.
    • Description (optional): A brief characterization of the application.
    • Icon (optional): A graphic representation of the application. Maximum file size is 1.0 MB.
    • Under Application type, select Worker.
  4. Click Save.
  5. From Applications, click the application you created.
  6. Click the Configurations tab.
  7. Copy the Client ID, Client Secret, and the Environment ID.
    Make a note of these details, because you need to provide them in the Management Console.
  8. Click Edit.
  9. Under Response type, select Code, Token, and ID Token.
  10. Under Grant type, select Authorization Code, Implicit, Client credentials, and Refresh Token.
  11. Add a redirect URL based on your region / environment.

  12. Under Token Endpoint Authentication Method, select Client secret post.
  13. Click Save.
  14. Click the Roles tab and click Grant Roles.
  15. Select Environment Admin and Organization Admin roles and click Save.
