Smishing and Executive Impersonation Protection

Android Work Profile Limitations

If your fleet includes devices with both Work and Personal profiles, Smishing and Executive Impersonation Protection may not function properly on some devices. This is due to the Work Profile’s inability to receive text messages, which is a limitation of certain device models. While you can still deploy this protection, if the device does not support it, no messages will be analyzed, and no alerts will be generated for the admin or user.

Recommendations:

  • If you have Dual Enrollment enabled on your tenant, ensure that Lookout for Work is activated in the Personal Profile.

  • Deploy only to fully managed devices (no Work and Personal profile separation in the device) using Device Policy Groups.
