Deploying Lookout with IBM MaaS360 Unified Endpoint Management

Major Tasks for Deploying Lookout with IBM MaaS360

  1. Create an API user in MaaS360.
  2. Create a device group for Lookout enrollment.
  3. Create MaaS360 Custom Attributes to indicate a device's state.
  4. Configure the MaaS360 Connector from the MES Console.
  5. Add the Lookout for Work app to MaaS360 App Catalog and deploy it to your users.
    Note:

    Note: Procedures for Android and iOS configure apps for zero-touch activation to immediately protect devices from threats without user interaction.

  6. Monitor device status in Lookout MES to see when users activate Lookout for Work on their devices.
  7. Create iOS and Android Security Policies.
  8. Create Device Groups in MaaS360 for each of the MES threat levels (Low, Moderate, and High Risk).
  9. Create a Compliance Policy Rule Set to apply your iOS and Android Security Policies to devices in the corresponding Device Group.
