Install Client Manually on Windows

Using the Lookout exe file

  1. Select Administration > System Settings.
  2. Select Downloads from the System Settings menu.
  3. Select Lookout Client - Windows.
  4. Click the Download icon to download the Lookout-<version_no > .exe file and copy it to the desired location.
  5. Double-click the Lookout-<version_no > .exe file.
    If you see a Windows security prompt, click

    Yes. This step requires administrator permission.

    This action installs the Microsoft Edge Webview2 runtime automatically if it is not installed already.

    You are prompted to install the VC++ redistributable files if they are not installed already. Click the I agree to the license terms and conditions checkbox and click Install. Once they are installed, future updates for these two runtime dependencies are available through a Windows update.

    Before installing the client, the setup performs pre-installation checks, if the requirements are not met, the client installation fails.

  6. When installation is complete, a Lookout client icon appears on your desktop.
  7. Click the Lookout Client icon on your desktop to open the client.
    The client Access Security

    screen opens.
