Verify User Access from Secure Cloud Workspace

After onboarding a private app, verify user access to ensure that remote users can access private applications securely from a browser.

  1. From a remote user's machine, launch a browser and access your Management Server portal URL.
    Example: https://<tenant>-ms.<companyName>.io/home/#portal where

    <tenant> is your tenant ID.

  2. Sign in to the Management Server portal.
  3. Select Home > Secure Cloud Workspace.
  4. Locate the private app and click the arrow to establish a connection.
  5. Follow the instructions for the correct type of app:
    App Type Instructions
    SSH and RDP
    1. Click New.
    2. Enter the Hostname or IP Address of the remote machine. The IP address must be within the range you specified when you onboarded the application.
    3. Enter the Port number. The port must be within the range you specified when you onboarded the application.
    4. Click Save & Connect.
    1. Enter the credentials for proxy authentication.
    2. Enter the credentials of the server you want to connect to.

When you select the Ignore Certificate checkbox for RDP connections, the portal ignores the certificate returned by the server even when the certificate cannot be validated. Select this option when you universally trust the server and your connection to it, and you know the server’s certificate cannot be validated. Example: When it is self-signed.

    HTTPS Enter proxy login credentials.
  6. Click Connect to access the private application.

If the connection is successful, you should be able to view the:

    • SSH: SSH console in the browser window.
    • RDP: Desktop of the remote Windows machine.
    • HTTPS: Homepage of the HTTPS application.
