Create Steering Policies

Steering policies distribute a specific steering configuration to users, devices, or any other context types you define in the Management Console. Example: If you want to distribute a given steering configuration to all users or a specific user group, you can do that through a steering policy.

  1. In the Management Console, select Administration > Traffic Steering.
  2. Select Clients.
  3. On the Steering Policy tab, click New.
  4. Enter a name that contains:
    • Only alphanumeric characters.
    • Underscores instead of spaces.
  5. (Optional) Enter a Description.
  6. In the Steering Configuration prompt, select the configuration you previously created.
  7. (Optional) Enable or disable these toggles based on your compliance needs:
    • Allow End User to Sign Out
    • Allow End User to Control Internet Access
  8. Click Next.
  9. In the Context section, select a Context Type.
  10. Select a Context for the selected context type.
  11. (Optional) In the Context Exceptions section, select your preferred exceptions in the Context Type prompt.
  12. Click Next, confirm the details, and click Save.
