Define Private Network with Custom Category

Custom categories allow you to define private corporate network ranges used to provide secure access through the Lookout client and to enforce security policies.

  1. In the Management Console, select Protect > Category Management.
  2. Click New.
  3. Enter the Category Name and an optional Description for the custom category.
  4. In the Category Type prompt, select Destination IP.
  5. In the Category Values field, enter IP addresses, subnet masks, or IP ranges on separate lines and click Save.

You must account for all the networks connected to your enterprise applications. The IP or subnets must include a private DNS server IP address. When you have multiple DNS servers, add IP addresses for all DNS servers. If the DNS server IP address is part of the subnet, you must add the subnet separately.

  6. Click Save.
