Configuring Traffic Steering

Configure PAC File

A Proxy Auto-Configuration (PAC) file allows web traffic to be forwarded to the Lookout proxy for inspection and protection before users are connected to the destination websites or applications. Using a PAC file, a browser forwards the web traffic via the Lookout Security Platform, where it is inspected before it goes to the Internet. The PAC file configuration bypasses some destinations from the platform.

The Lookout Secure Web Proxy PAC file is a HTTPS PAC, where the communication between the user device (endpoint) and the proxy is also encrypted.

The following sections outline the steps for configuring PAC files.

  1. In the Management Console, access Administration > Traffic Steering.
  2. From the Traffic Steering menu, select PAC.
