Forensic Copy

Undo Policy Action on Files or Folders in Box Cloud Application

When you have a Secure Cloud Access policy that detects collaboration (sharing) activities on files or folders in the Box cloud application and takes action on them, all violations of that policy are shown here on the Forensic Copy list. In addition, if you selected the Archive option when onboarding the Box application, the violating files are in the archive folder for you to review if needed.

If you determine that the action that Secure Cloud Access took on the file - such as the Remove Collaborator action - needs to be reverted, you can do so from the Forensic Copy page.

  1. Click the arrow at the left of the row to expand the details pane about the violation.
  2. If the violation is a single file, then Restore collaborators on File level is selected.
    If the violation is a folder, select either Restore collaborators on File level or Restore collaborators on Folder level.
  3. Click Apply to undo the policy action and restore the sharing settings on the file or folder.
