Deployment - Secure Cloud Access

Verify Policies

To ensure that you completed the steps in this guide correctly, you can confirm whether the Access Control and API Access policies are active.

  1. Access your Slack environment in a browser or app.
  2. Try to download a file.
    You should view an error message denying the request based on your Access Control policy.
  3. Try to upload a file that contains a phone number.
    The upload should succeed.
  4. Verify that Secure Cloud Access logged the policy actions:
    1. In the Management Console, select Monitor > Activity Audit Logs.
    2. In the second prompt, make sure that both Activities and Violations are selected.
    3. In the third prompt, make sure that both API and Web & Apps are selected.
    4. Click Search.
    5. Verify that you can view log entries corresponding to the actions you performed in the first three steps of this procedure.
