Configure Extension and Size Settings
Under File Extension and Size Settings, select exclusion settings for file types, MIME types, and file sizes. The items you select here will be excluded from scanning.
These settings apply to on-premise deployments. For hosted deployments, file exclusion settings can be found in
.- For file types, review the default list of file extensions to be excluded. Add or delete files as needed. Files that you exclude are not processed by the gateway, so response time will be faster when you open and view them. For example, rich-media files such as .mov, .mp3, or .mp4 will load faster if they are excluded.
- For MIME types, enter each MIME type to be excluded (for example, text/css or application/pdf. To exclude any video types, enter video/*.*. Separate each MIME type with a comma.
-
For file sizes, enter a file size (in megabytes) that will serve as the threshold for exclusion from scanning. Any files larger than this size will be excluded from scanning. You must enter a value greater than zero.
When you have entered all data proxy configuration information, click Save. You will see a confirmation message.
