Configure GDPR

European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) took effect in May of 2018. Organizations globally must follow stringent requirements to protect private information and will face severe penalties for breaches. GDPR has international reach, covering the personal information of European citizens - wherever it is distributed globally.

Secure Cloud Access can help you track details regarding GDPR compliance in your organization by monitoring risk factors. To enable this capability in Secure Cloud Access, you must contact Lookout Support. Once GDPR Reporting has been enabled, you can evaluate risk factor weightings and distribution for GDPR.

  1. Select Administration > System Settings.
  2. Select GDPR Configuration.

If GDPR Reporting has been enabled, the GDPR Reporting toggle button will show an enabled status. If the toggle button still appears as disabled, contact Lookout Support.

GDPR values are available in the following areas:

    • Shadow IT report (GDPR values will be included in the PDF)
    • GDPR compliance information in the risk score information for a cloud, as shown in the following example. (To view these details, click the > arrow next to a cloud on the Cloud applications page.) GDPR values will also be included when you export information for a cloud.

    • Risk factor weighting customization (System Settings > Risk Factor Weight).
