Lookout Supported Platforms and Languages

Lookout leverages various platforms and technologies to run properly. This document lists the platforms and versions of those platforms that are supported (i.e. tested) by Lookout.

Device OSiOS

versions 12.2 and higher *

* Users who have previously activated Lookout for Work on their Apple ID can download version 6.4 for devices running iOS 11.

** Lookout for Work supports the current and previous 2 versions of iOS.

Android

versions 7.0 and higher *

* BES UEM, MaaS360, and MobileIron use IMEI for Android device identification. Devices without a SIM card, such as some WiFi-only tablets, are not supported with these MDMs.

Chrome OS

Lookout for Work 6.5 and higher on Android is supported on Chromebook devices for detecting Network, Web Content, and Android App malware threats.*

* Detection of Operating System and Device threats is not yet supported. To deploy to Chromebooks, follow the same deployment path you use for other Android devices, and use the same Managed App Configuration settings.
