Deploying Lookout with VMWare Workspace ONE Unified Endpoint Management (UEM)

Major Tasks for Deploying Lookout with VMWare Workspace ONE

Installing the Lookout Workspace ONE Connector in your mobile device management environment enables Lookout mobile threat and device events to flow into Workspace ONE. This allows the integration of mobile security threat and device events into your security incident and event workflows. Additionally, Lookout allows you to streamline the management of devices and drive enforcement when threats are detected, as well as identify policies with respective action.

  1. Create a REST API role and an API user in Workspace ONE.
  2. Create a Smart Group for Lookout enrollment, and tags to sync Lookout device state information to Workspace ONE.
  3. Configure the Workspace ONE Connector from the Lookout MES Console.
  4. Add the Lookout for Work app to Workspace ONE and deploy it to your users.
    You can also configure a permissions profile to automatically grant permissions to the app so that users don't have to click through additional screens to do so.
  5. Monitor device status in Lookout MES to see when users activate Lookout for Work on their devices.
  6. Create Smart Groups for at-risk devices, and security policies to take action based on active risks.
