Deploying Lookout with Microsoft Entra ID and Intune

Major Tasks for Deploying Lookout with Microsoft Entra ID and Intune

This presents a high level overview of the setup process for Lookout Mobile Endpoint Security (MES) with Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Intune:

  1. Collect your Entra ID Tenant ID and the Group Object IDs, as they are required to set up your Lookout MES tenant.
  2. Verify that your Lookout users have an Enterprise Mobility + Security license in Entra ID.
  3. Set up your Microsoft Entra ID (Azure) connector from the Lookout MES Console.
  4. Accept the Permissions Requested Consent on the Entra ID portal.
  5. Configure the Intune connector from the Lookout MES Console.
  6. Configure a connection to Lookout MES from Intune.
  7. If you are deploying Lookout for Work on iOS, register the app with Entra ID and grant the required API permissions.

    This step is not necessary for the Android app.

  8. Add the Lookout for Work iOS and Android apps to Intune and deploy them referring to PART 2: Cloud Deployments with Microsoft Intune.
  9. Monitor device status in the Lookout MES Console to see when users activate Lookout for Work on their devices.
  10. Setup threat classification in MES according to your requirements.
  11. Setup a compliance policy in Intune.
