You can use the Google BeyondCorp integration in two management modes - Basic and Advanced.

• Basic mode is for organizations and groups that do not use an MDM (Mobile Device Management) platform to manage apps and services on mobile devices.

  In Basic mode, administrators set up end user Lookout for Work accounts in the Google Admin Console and send activation codes to users. Users must download the app themselves from the Google Play Store or iOS App Store. They activate Lookout by opening the app and entering the provided activation code, then signing into their Google account in the app.

• Advanced mode varies by OS:
  1. On Android, Advanced mode is supported only for Android Enterprise devices. Google pushes Lookout for Work, app config settings, and the Global Activation Code directly to end user devices. Users activate by signing in to their Google account in the Lookout for Work app.
  2. On iOS, Google pushes the Lookout for Work app to end user devices, but users must obtain and enter the MDM name and the Global Activation code. They complete activation by signing in to their Google account in the Lookout for Work app.
