Requirements for Deploying Lookout with BlackBerry UEM

See What are the Lookout Supported Platforms and Languages? for supported version information. BlackBerry UEM requirements:

  • A supported version of BlackBerry UEM.
  • Security Administrator access to UEM.
  • Verify that your BlackBerry server is licensed for BlackBerry Enterprise Mobility Suite

    (Management Edition or higher), BlackBerry Spark, or BlackBerry Spark UEM Suite.

  • UEM must be configured for Android Enterprise (formerly called Android for Work) in order to manage Android 10 devices in either Work Profile or Work Managed Device mode. For details, see Supporting Android Enterprise Activations in the BlackBerry documentation.

    Network Requirements:

  • Open/allow the Lookout ports documented in the Lookout MDM Service IP Addresses article.
  • Open the UEM SOAP API port, typically TCP port 18084.
  • Verify that you have a public BlackBerry domain or IP address (for communication with the Lookout MES Console).
  • Lookout integrations perform SSL validation to ensure they are connecting to the proper UEM. Depending on your UEM configuration, you may need a certificate from a 3rd party Certificate Authority.
