Lookout Single Sign-On With PingFederate

Differences Between SP-Initiated Flow and IDP-Initiated Flow

SP-Initiated Flow

  1. The user navigates to https://app.lookout.com and enters their email address.
  2. Based on configured domain names, the user is redirected to their IDP page (PingFederate).
  3. The user enters their PingFederate username and password.
    This logs the user into the Lookout MES Console.

IDP-Initiated Flow

  1. The user navigates to the IDP-generated URL that you provide.
  2. The user is redirected to the PingFederate login page.
  3. The user enters their PingFederate username and password.
    This logs the user into the Lookout MES Console.
